This will be the second year that I will be using The Ironstone Garden Planner and it is very quickly becoming one of my must have garden supplies for each season. This planner leaves nothing to chance and is comprehensive in its coverage of every facet of garden planning from inventorying existing plants and seeds, to planting times, to companion planting and much more. Some key points of this planner that I treasure are:
**The pages of the journal are not only functional, but absolutely beautiful. The author has done a stupendous job in selecting graphics and colors that keep the gardener coming back time and time again.
**The journal is spacious and leaves lots of room for notes and data, and lends itself to being a great organizational tool.
**The grids that allow for drawing out the garden beds of different types and sizes are invaluable.
**The tips that are provided in the information pages are good reminders to beginning and seasoned gardeners alike. It is obvious the author put in a lot of thought and care into the messaging of the pages.
**The planner is relatable to all gardeners, no matter how experienced or inexperienced.

The Orchard Files organization and beautiful design was much more than anticipated. In addition to being helpful, it will continue with legacy for the next generations. Most of my trees and plants pre-date 1935 so this is a current planner and will become an historical document for my children and grandchildren.
It's beautiful!

Oh my goodness!! With our Spring garden season right around the corner I sit down to get my thoughts and plans together, and I'm so excited to have this beautiful garden planner. There's not a thing that Melanie left out. From brainstorming, to goals, to understanding the "whys" of what we choose to plant, this planner literally has it all.
Over the years I've collected many seed varieties and now I can keep an inventory and get that weight off my shoulders, so that I don't waste the seeds or my hard earned money.
She even thought about our Fruit Trees. I always planned on keeping better records, this planner makes it so simple. There's even a place to record your most loved websites and Apps.
I love the planting calendar and the garden spreadsheets. There's also a place for your cost breakdown.
I can't wait to get my hands in the soil!!!. I mostly use 4x8 raised beds and
my "Ironstone Garden Planner" has many pages dedicated to keeping track of where I planted what.
What a great gift this was. I can think of many friends who would love it too.
Happy gardening!!
