Doing Our Part

Maybe you've heard the saying "If you can't love me through my worst, you don't deserve me at my best".

That doesn't mean that we're supposed to ignore or overlook bad behavior, crankiness, or poor performance. It means that we give grace and kindness toward others through their trials and moments of weakness.
It does no good to point fingers and cast blame when things aren't going our way. It doesn't do any good to wallow in our failures, either. It is far more productive to focus on the victories and the things that are going right, few though they may be, and build on that.
In that vein, this past (25-26) hockey season was often disappointing and hard to watch for Nashville fans. I know it was even harder for the men on the ice. I hope we are through the worst.
I still loved to watch those games when the guys were in sync with one-another and on top of their game. When they're on their game, they're really something to watch. I'm looking forward to better things for the 2025-2026 season. In the meantime, we're enjoying garden season here.
